Uzbekistan: Measures to increase the tourist flow

Uzbekistan is consistently implementing measures to accelerate the development of tourism. The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued a decree on additional organizational measures to create favorable conditions for the development of the tourism potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a presidential decree on measures to develop inbound tourism.

In order to create additional amenities for foreign tourists, the customs control zone in airports have been divided into two corridors, "red" and "green."

The implementation of these and other measures, as well as the participation of tourist organizations in international tourist fairs and exhibitions, contribute to an increase in the tourist flow.

Currently, 84 tourist organizations, 59 hotels for 2555 places, 24 tour operators and travel agents provide tourists with necessary services in the Khorezm region.

In April of this year, in the village of Goybu in Urgench district, a new tourist complex "Ulli Hovli" was commissioned, with hotels, a restaurant and a craft workshop functioning. And today, tourists from foreign countries, and visitors from other regions of Uzbekistan itself often visit this wonderful complex.

This year in Urgench, a hotel for 66 places has been built. 12 additional hotel facilities are planned to be commissioned, as well as two organizations are intended to provide tour operator services in the regional center and in the Khanka district.

For the organization of guided excursion tours on the territory of Khorezm, tourist organizations plan to purchase 10 comfortable buses and 10 electric cars, as well as cars and minibuses till the end of this year.

Further increase of the tourist flow will be the commissioning of the railway line Urgench-Khiva, which will provide additional comfort to the guests of Khorezm.
