Uzbekistan: Posbon is a brave guardian of peace in mahalla

The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “About the measures on further improvement of the system of crime prevention and crime control” in 2017, once again, emphasizes that the implementation of complex measures in the mahallas on crime control and prevention is call of the times.

In the extraordinary session of the Khorezm regional Council of People’s Deputies, the President of Uzbekistan emphasized, that now the prevention inspectors will not be representatives of the internal affairs in the mahallas, they must be representatives of the mahalla in the internal affairs and monthly report back to the residents about their work on prevention of crimes and offenses. This puts great responsibility on the leaders of the public formations “Mahalla Posboni”.

According to Ozod Ibodullayev, the head of the public formation “Mahalla Posboni” of the mahalla citizens’ meeting “Dovud” in Kushkupir district, in cooperation with the prevention inspector captain Farrukh Abdrimov and the mahalla activists, they go round in the mahalla and talk to the families. Night watching is organized every night. According to the list every night, residents of the mahalla, mostly middle-aged young men, join them. They, dividing into two groups, walk round the streets of the mahalla. It should be noted that to this day none of the residents of the mahalla declined the duty, everybody at night conscientiously walk round the territory. They regularly organize various activities aimed at preventing the neglect and absence of control of minors, increasing the responsibility of parents for raising children.

It is known that the young generation, knowing well and respecting the laws, never act against the rules. These days there are held spiritual and educational activities dedicated to the Day of adoption of the Constitution on the topics “The Constitution is the guarantee of the rights and freedom”, “Human rights are the highest value”, “Constitution and legal culture”, “My rights” and others.
